WE Family Offices Advisor to Speak at United Nations Sustainable Investment Conference

Firm’s Dedication to Families and Single-Family Offices Underscored by B-Corp Certification and Values-Aligned Investments

New York, NY – November 27, 2019 – WE Family Offices, the family office company, announces today that WE Family Offices Advisor Richard Zimmerman will be a moderator at the upcoming 2019 Sustainable Investing Conference at the United Nations on Tuesday, December 10 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, New York. The firm has long embraced values-aligned investments for client families, and recently became certified as a B-Corp to formalize and institutionalize balancing profit with purpose.

Zimmerman is a well-respected leader in the values-aligned investment space. The UN conference is a gathering of financial advisors and industry professionals from around the country to discuss the latest issues and trends in sustainable, impact and ESG (environmental, social and governance) investing. Many of the topics discussed at this conference involve the 17 sustainable development goals (SDGs) that were set by the United Nations General Assembly in 2015 for the year 2030. Zimmerman’s specific panel will cover the topic of the intersection of human rights and climate risk.

Since the founding of WE Family Offices, the firm’s focus has been to support successful families, helping them to sustain both their financial and their human capital. This work supports families to be successful for the benefit of themselves, their communities, and the world at large. WE seeks to help some of the world’s wealthiest families to align their values with their investments to generate both financial and societal return.

“Identifying and incorporating a family’s values into their investment strategy can be an impactful experience,” says WE Family Offices Managing Partner Michael Zeuner. “Not only does it create a meaningful connection between the investor and their portfolio, but it can also generate impactful returns – both financially and socially or environmentally.”

“Over the long run, business will overlap more and more with significant world challenges,” comments Zimmerman about his upcoming United Nations speaking engagement. “It’s an honor to share our collective experience to discuss these challenges and solutions that could emerge as a result of families aligning their values with their investments.”
