The Family Wealth Alliance Honors WE CEO Mel Lagomasino

WE Family Offices CEO and Managing Partner Mel Lagomasino, a leader and trailblazer in the private wealth industry for four decades, has been honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award by The Family Wealth Alliance (“The Alliance”) during their Best in the Industry Awards.

As a prominent voice on trends and developments in the family office community, The Alliance presented Lagomasino’s Lifetime Achievement Award in front of 165 industry leaders during The Alliance Anniversary Awards Gala in Chicago on October 17, 2018. The Awards recognized the top family offices, advisors, and industry professionals from all across the country and was held in conjunction with The Alliance’s annual Fall Forum.

“Because of the role The Alliance plays within the family wealth industry, we have enjoyed a unique vantage point from which to identify the trailblazers among us,” explains Thomas R. Livergood, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of The Alliance.

This year’s awards received more than 100 nominations from fellow industry professionals, making it difficult for the panel to select category winners and top family offices. However, despite the steep competition, Livergood states, “each finalist deserved to win, as the businesses represented were truly best in class in so many ways.”

WE Family Offices Managing Partner Michael Zeuner certainly concurs with Livergood’s sentiments. “Mel is not only an inspiring leader and executive, but is someone who has been truly dedicated to all of her client families throughout her entire wealth management career,” comments Zeuner. “I am honored to have been able to work beside Mel for the past 20 years and am delighted that she has received the Best in the Industry Award for Lifetime Achievement. No one deserves it more, and I am positive that all of the families we work with would agree.”
