WE’s CEO Mel Lagomasino Interviewed on Entrepreneur Radio

In a recent interview on Entrepreneur Radio, WE Family Office’s CEO, Mel Lagomasino discusses her career in finance and her desire to start an independent advisory firm that focuses on the needs and values of client families rather than those of the institution. This ultimately lead to the founding of WE Family Office, which Mel continues to run today.

The interview delves into Mel Lagomasino’s career beginnings in the private banking industry where she advised families who were going through similar experiences to her when her family left Cuba for the United States. “ I knew that I could make a difference to these families… It became a real passion, and a mission, and very personally meaningful to be able to help these families.” Through the years, Ms. Lagomasino recognized that the institutional environment became more about sales and distribution rather than serving the needs of families. “I decided I have two choices. I can either be untrue to myself or I can leave.”
