WE Family Offices’ Julie Neitzel Discusses Family SWOT Analysis

In an article published by South Florida Business & Wealth Magazine, WE Family Offices’ partner and advisor, Julie Neitzel, discusses the use of SWOT analysis (strength, weakness, opportunity, threat) business analyst tool as a successful means to family wealth planning. SWOT analysis was developed in the 1960s as a way of evaluating why corporate planning failed, but has since become the cornerstone of a strategic planning process for family wealth.

Ms. Neitzel delves into specific tools families can use to explore their own strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and ways of identifying potential threats to wealth sustainability. “The family SWOT analysis results in a family planning framework that can be revisited and reassessed as the family and circumstances change. Further, the family has performed a self-diagnosis of their wealth challenges and opportunities.”
